Northeastern De Kalb County in north central Illinois...
Northwestern Kane County in northeastern Illinois...
Southwestern McHenry County in northeastern Illinois...
Southern Boone County in north central Illinois...
* Until 1000 PM CDT.
* At 658 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. One to two inches of rain have already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Belvidere, Loves Park, Marengo, Genoa, Huntley, Hampshire, Poplar
Grove, Timberlane, Caledonia and Burlington.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
