* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Lake County in northeastern Illinois...
Northern Kane County in northeastern Illinois...
Southeastern McHenry County in northeastern Illinois...
Northwestern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
* Until 200 PM CDT.
* At 1104 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain of up to two inches had occurred across the advisory
area. This may cause urban and small stream flooding in the
advisory area.
Additional rainfall of at least half an inch may occur over the
next 30 minutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
