This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk northwest of a Waukegan to
DeKalb to Dixon line
DISCUSSION...
Showers are expected to develop along a cold front this afternoon
and move into parts of the region this afternoon and tonight. A
few thunderstorms will be possible mainly north and west of a
Waukegan to DeKalb to Dixon line. Gusty winds and cloud to ground
lightning will be the main threats with any storms this afternoon.
River flooding, some significant, will continue.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Monday with the
greatest thunderstorm chances along and south of I-80 during the
afternoon and evening. A few storms could be strong with a threat
for small hail and gusty winds.
Additional widespread rain and embedded thunderstorms will be
possible with another storm system on Wednesday and into Thursday.
This additional rainfall may lead to renewed river rises and
flooding through the end of the week.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the East-southeast at 25 mph.
