This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

A cold front pushing south through the region this morning should
confine thunderstorm activity mainly to the southern portions of
the area. However, increasing deep layer moisture will allow for
some of the stronger storms to produce locally heavy rainfall.
Areas of training thunderstorms could bring a threat of localized
flooding. The front is expected to lift back north as a warm front
tonight, keeping chances for thunderstorms across the region. Some
storms may be strong to severe, producing large hail and damaging
winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Sunday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday and Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Periods of thunderstorms are expected through the weekend and
again by mid week. The greatest chance for the next round of
severe thunderstorms will be Sunday afternoon and evening.
However, some thunderstorms on Saturday will have the potential to
produce locally heavy rainfall, bringing renewed flooding
potential. Monday should be quiet, and then there will be periodic
chances for thunderstorms Tuesday through Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at 40 mph.
