...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Illinois and northwest Indiana, including the
following areas, in Illinois, Boone, Cook, De Kalb, DuPage,
Grundy, Kane, Kendall, La Salle, Lake, Lee, McHenry, Ogle,
Will, and Winnebago. In northwest Indiana, Lake.
* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning
* Showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact the watch
area tonight and these storms will be capable of producing
heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
* Runoff from this heavy rainfall may result in areas of flash
flooding, along with additional rises on area rivers.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
