This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated hail risk this evening...up to Quarter size.
Elevated damaging wind risk this evening...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk tonight.
DISCUSSION...
A few showers and possibly a thunderstorm will move across the
area this morning. However, this activity is not expected to be
severe. Later this afternoon additional thunderstorms are
likely to develop over Iowa in advance of an approaching cold
front. These storms could shift eastward into portions of northern
IL this evening. Should these storms make into the area,
conditions will be favorable for some strong to possibly severe
thunderstorms. Large hail and damaging winds would be the primary
threats. Some locally heavy rainfall will also be possible with
these storms tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Tuesday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
While there will be many dry hours, there will also be periodic
bouts of showers and thunderstorms through Tuesday. Some
potential does exist for both severe thunderstorms and heavy
rainfall, possibly resulting in flooding.

Spotters may be needed this evening.
