This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Elevated hail risk...up to Quarter sized.
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 65 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move northeast into
the area later this evening. The strongest storms will be capable of
producing strong wind gusts and large hail... especially south of I-80.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue overnight... however any severe
threat will diminish after midnight-1 am.

Locally heavy rainfall with some of the storms may cause isolated flash
flooding or ponding of water in low spots.

Otherwise, flooding to continue on portions of the following rivers:
the Fox, the East branch of the DuPage, the Illinois and the Pecatonica.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday night and Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Flooding will continue on area rivers.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed later this evening... especially south of I-80.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the northeast at 30 to 40 mph.
