This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to one inch diameter.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
High Swim Risk
DISCUSSION...
After a quiet but breezy day, thunderstorms are expected to
develop across the area this evening and overnight, moving from
west to east. During the evening a few of these storms may be
capable of producing damaging winds and perhaps some large hail,
mainly along and west of I-39. Strong southerly winds this
afternoon gusting over 30 mph may also pose a hazard ahead of
the storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Saturday through Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
The SPC day three outlook has most of the area in a slight risk
for severe weather on Friday, but thunderstorms are possible at
various times from tonight through Memorial Day weekend, with
heavy rainfall and localized flooding a continued threat.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters may be needed this evening in western portions of the
outlook area.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the northeast at 30-40 mph tonight.
