This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Elevated hail risk...up to 1 inch in diameter.
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Strong southerly winds ahead of an approaching cold front will be
the first concern today. Thunderstorms that may develop along the
front also could locally enhance these strong winds and produce
damaging gusts. The primary area of concern is east of I-55 and
the primary period of concern is late morning into early
afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Tuesday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Wednesday through Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A very strong low pressure system developing over the Plains
early this week could bring heavy rain and possibly severe
storms to the outlook area late Tuesday into Tuesday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed toward mid day.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the northeast at 50 mph.
