This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk mainly north of I-80.

DISCUSSION...

There is a low chance for some showers and isolated thunderstorms
late tonight and into Saturday morning. Severe weather is not
expected with this activity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Tuesday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday and Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Showers and embedded thunderstorms will be possible through the
morning hours on Saturday. Severe weather is not expected in the
morning, but some small hail will be possible with any stronger
storms. Additional thunderstorms are then expected to develop
during the early-mid afternoon hours. These would have the
potential to become strong to severe, with a threat for large hail
and damaging wind gusts. While the threat for tornadoes is low, a
tornado or two can't be ruled out in the vicinity of any outflow
boundaries left over from morning thunderstorms.

Also, storms may be relatively slow moving and produce locally
heavy rainfall. Given recent rainfall and ongoing saturated ground
conditions, any additional locally heavy rainfall will likely go
to rapid surface runoff and could lead to localized flooding.

Periods of showers and thunderstorms will be possible from late
Tuesday night through the end of the week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east-southeast at 25 to 30 mph.
