THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Extreme Flooding Risk.
Elevated Fog Risk.
Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Periods of rain will continue across the area tonight. The
heaviest rain and chances for additional thunderstorms will mainly
be southeast of I-57. Runoff from this rainfall will continue to
cause flooding, and significant sharp rises on most area rivers
and creeks.

A cold front will move across the area this evening, and rain is
expected to change over to a period of freezing rain and sleet
before ending overnight. Some ice accumulation and glazing is
possible overnight.

Many area rivers will remain in flood.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Limited Sleet Risk.
Thursday...
Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Friday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A couple of periods of light freezing rain or sleet are
possible Wednesday night into early Thursday, and Thursday night
into early Friday across portions of the outlook area.

Most area rivers will remain in or near flood for the next
several days.
