...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CST /5 PM
EST/ THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...A short period of moderate to possibly heavy snow ending
by mid afternoon. Total snow accumulation of one half to two
inches with the highest totals near the Wisconsin state line,
where isolated three inches may occur. Accumulations will be
spotty south of I-80 due to mixing with rain. Winds could gust
as high as 35 mph at times.
* WHERE...Portions of northwest Indiana and east central and
northeast Illinois.
* WHEN...Through 4 PM CST /5 PM EST/ this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Brief high snow rates, combined with gusty
southeasterly winds will lead to sharply reduced visibility.
Some roads are snow covered for a brief time early this
afternoon with hazardous travel.
