This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
 Elevated Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Snow will begin to spread into the area this afternoon for areas
south of Interstate 80, with snow arriving later this evening for
areas north. The heaviest snowfall rates, possibly in excess of
one half inch per hour, will likely occur late this afternoon and
evening, but lighter snow will linger into the Thursday morning
commute. While snowfall amounts may end up being similar across
the Chicago area through tomorrow given that there will be some
lake enhancement potential, the earlier arrival time ahead of the
commute and higher rates will be favored along and southeast of
Interstate 55.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Thursday...
 Limited Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Additional light snow with minor snow accumulation will occur
during the day, but there is the possibility of additional lake
effect snow Thursday night into early Friday morning.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
