This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Lake effect snow showers this morning could produce brief
moderate to even heavy snow rates, causing difficult travel where
this occurs, mainly across the Cook County shoreline into
northwest Indiana.

A fast moving system could bring a period of snow and light
accumulations up to an inch tonight south of I-80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Sunday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Another fast moving system could bring light to moderate snow
accumulations on Sunday, especially for areas north of I-80. The
snow will be accompanied by gusty southerly winds. Patchy freezing
drizzle may then be possible in portions of far northern Illinois
late in the day into the evening.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
