This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Snow Risk.
Significant Lakeshore Flood Risk for the Illinois shore.

DISCUSSION...

Light to moderate snow will occur across portions of the area
through tonight, mostly for locales south and east of a Dixon to
Waukegan line. The snow may be briefly heavy at times for areas south
of Interstate 80.

Strong northeasterly winds will continue to generate high waves
tonight and may cause lakeshore flooding along the Illinois shore
of Lake Michigan.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Elevated Snow Risk
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk mainly near the lake.
Significant Lakeshore Flood Risk.
Thursday...
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Light to moderate snow is expected to continue mainly through the
morning but may continue into the afternoon hours for locales
south and east of I-55. The snow may be heavy at times across
northwest Indiana in the morning. Strong northerly winds may gust
as high as 40 mph, highest near the lake.

Strong northerly winds will generate high waves and may cause
lakeshore flooding along the Illinois and Indiana shore of Lake
Michigan on Wednesday.
