This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Ice accumulation Risk overnight.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk tonight.

DISCUSSION...

Late tonight into Tuesday morning there is a risk for
freezing drizzle or light freezing rain for portions of far
northern and north central Illinois. This includes the Rockford
area and the far north and northwest Chicago suburbs. If freezing
drizzle occurs, light icing and minor travel impacts are possible.

A long duration of strong northerly winds tonight through
Tuesday night will build waves on southern Lake Michigan. This
could exacerbate lakeshore flooding impacts due to the near record
high lake levels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Accumulating snow will be possible for portions of the area late
Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night, possibly lingering into
early Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
