DISCUSSION:
On late Monday night into Tuesday morning, there is a risk for
freezing drizzle or light freezing rain for portions of far
northern and north central Illinois. This includes the Rockford
area and the far north and northwest Chicago suburbs. If freezing
drizzle occurs, light icing and minor travel impacts are possible.
A long duration of strong northerly winds Monday night through
Tuesday night will build waves on southern Lake Michigan. This
could exacerbate lakeshore flooding impacts due to the near record
high lake levels.
Depending on the track of a storm system into Wednesday night,
accumulating snow will be possible for portions of the area.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
