...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING
THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total
snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches. For the Winter Storm Watch,
heavy snow possible. Additional snow accumulations in excess of
6 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph Tuesday
night.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois
including the Rockford area.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 8 PM this evening
to 6 AM CST Tuesday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Tuesday
morning through late Tuesday night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and Tuesday
evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates in excess of one inch per
hour are possible at times late Tuesday morning into Tuesday
evening.
