...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow, hazardous travel conditions, and strong
northwesterly wind gusts expected. Additional snow accumulations
of 3 to 5 inches are expected with the highest amounts east of
Interstate 39. Northwesterly wind gusts of 45 mph are expected
this evening.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois.

* WHEN...Until noon CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain may mix with snow, especially close to
the Interstate 88 corridor, before changing back to snow this
evening. The strongest northwesterly winds are expected after
sunset tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
