...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
9 AM CST WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills of 20
to 30 degrees below zero expected. For the Winter Weather
Advisory, very low visibility due to falling and blowing snow
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening
to 3 AM CST Sunday. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from midnight
tonight to 9 AM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on pockets of very low visibility due to falling
and blowing snow, especially in open areas and on north to south
oriented roadways. If planning to travel, expect slowed speeds
and include emergency supplies in your vehicle. Ensure others
know your travel plans in case you get stuck. The cold wind
chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as few as 30
minutes.
