This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Fog Risk.
Limited Snow Risk mainly north and northwest of Rockford.

DISCUSSION...

Earlier freezing rain has tapered to light rain and drizzle as of
midday, with temperatures above freezing in the mid 30s. While
some patchy slick spots may remain on untreated pavement due to
cold ground temperatures, the threat of any additional ice
accumulation has ended. Near the Wisconsin and Illinois border,
some light wet snow may mix in with light rain or drizzle early
this afternoon, especially north and northwest of Rockford.

Areas of dense fog are expected to develop later this afternoon
and last through the overnight. Visibility may drop below one
quarter of a mile at times.

DISCUSSION...

Areas of dense fog are expected to continue into Wednesday
morning.
