Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk south of Illinois and Kankakee Rivers.
DISCUSSION...
Dangerously cold wind chills will continue.
Light snow is likely tonight, especially south of the Kankakee
and Illinois Rivers where a coating to locally an inch of snow
could result in hazardous travel conditions.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Tuesday through Wednesday morning...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Thursday night through Saturday...
Elevated to Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Dangerously cold wind chills will continue through Wednesday
morning, and possibly return again by Thursday night into Saturday.
River ice is expected to rapidly build up on area rivers this
week as a much colder arctic air mass moves into the area. This
will bring a threat for localized ice jam related flooding on
area rivers.
