This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk mainly tonight.

DISCUSSION...

A wintry mix will move across the area this morning with up to a
glaze of ice expected.

A prolonged period of a wintry mix including periods of freezing
rain are expected overnight into Tuesday morning. Areas south of
Interstate 88 may pick up more than one quarter of an inch of
total ice accumulation, especially near the Kankakee River Valley.
Closer to the Wisconsin state line, a mix of snow, sleet, and
freezing rain is expected. Untreated roads will become slippery
to hazardous.
