Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Lake Effect Snow Risk Porter County Indiana.
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk near Lake in Northwest IN.

DISCUSSION...

Heavy lake effect snow with periods of near-blizzard conditions
will temporarily shift east of Porter County Indiana for the
afternoon. However, the the focus is expected to shift back
westward into Porter County later this evening and overnight.

Wind chills in excess of 20 degrees below zero are expected
tonight along and west of the Fox Valley.

Localized ice jam flooding will continue along some rivers.

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Monday...
Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.

Very cold conditions are expected Saturday night into Sunday
morning.

Localized ice jam flooding will continue along some rivers.
