Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk tonight.
Elevated Snow and Blowing Snow Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Strong westerly winds will continue to produce areas of blowing
and drifting snow, mainly in more open rural areas. Light snow or
flurries will end this morning, however another round of snow is
expected to lead to hazardous travel tonight.

Dangerously cold wind chills are expected late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Sunday through Tuesday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Wednesday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Wind chills of 10 to as low as 30 degrees below zero are expected
Sunday through Wednesday morning.

River ice is expected to rapidly build up on area rivers Sunday
into early next week as a much colder arctic airmass moves into
the area. This will bring a threat for localized ice jam related
flooding on area rivers into next week.
