...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST
SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Very low visibility and brief periods of near-blizzard
conditions due to falling snow and strong westerly winds
expected. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches,
highest near the Wisconsin state line, and wind gusts in excess
of 45 mph are expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois.
* WHEN...Until noon CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on hazardous travel conditions with areas of
blowing snow especially in open and rural areas along north to
south oriented roads. In addition, gusty winds may bring down
tree limbs.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
