At 426 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong outflow winds from
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Janesville to near
Pecatonica. Movement was southeast at 45 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this outflow.
Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Beloit, Belvidere, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Rochelle,
Harvard, South Beloit, Rockton, Marengo, Rockford Airport, Roscoe,
Poplar Grove, Byron, Cherry Valley, Winnebago, Pecatonica, Kirkland,
Sharon and Capron.
Including the following interstates...
I-39 between mile markers 100 and 123.
I-88 between mile markers 81 and 84.
I-90 between mile markers 0 and 2, and between mile markers 46 and
76.
This includes...Boone County Fairgrounds, Rock Cut State Park, Rock
Valley College, Rockford Aviators Baseball, Rockford Speedway, and
Winnebago County Fairgrounds.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
north central and northeastern Illinois.
