This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms are possible near and west of I-39 late
tonight, primarily after 4 AM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk near and south of US-24.
Wednesday...
Limited Flooding Risk south of the Illinois and Kankakee Rivers.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Thursday through Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There is a risk for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms with a
wind and hail risk late Tuesday into Tuesday evening and night. A
few strong thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday. Thunderstorms
can be expected to produce heavy downpours on Tuesday and
Wednesday, with a localized flooding risk also possible,
primarily for portions of east central Illinois and south of the
Kankakee River in Indiana. In addition, river rises may occur.

A slow moving storm system will then bring off and on
precipitation chances to the region Thursday and through next
weekend. At this time, it appears the threat for the heaviest
rainfall totals may remain south of the region across central
Illinois, but it is too early to rule out a northward shift in
this threat area. The areas that receive the most rain late week
through the weekend may have renewed flooding concerns and river
rises.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
