The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 453
continues.
SUMMARY...Threat for damaging wind gusts continues across Severe
Thunderstorm Watch 453. This threat is expected to extend outside of
the watch and a new watch will be needed across portions of
southeastern WI and northern IL.
DISCUSSION...Organized convective line continues moving
eastward/southeastward at 35 kt. Several strong gusts have been
measured over the past hour, include a 48 kt gust LNR. Overall
convective structure has become a bit less organized but the
downstream air mass remain supportive of deep convection.
Expectation is for the MCS to continue eastward/southeastward for
the next few hours with a continued threat for damaging wind gusts.
Based on the current storm motion, the line is expected to reach the
edge of Severe Thunderstorm Watch 453 around 2100-2130Z. Given the
expectation of a continued severe threat, a downstream watch will be
needed for portions of southeastern WI and northern IL.
