This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon along a lake
breeze in northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana. Confidence is
low for this development.

A line of thunderstorms is expected to form across the upper
midwest this afternoon and move south into far northern Illinois
this evening. There remains low confidence regarding how strong
this activity will be and far south into Illinois it will move.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible during this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday through Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There will be periodic chances for thunderstorms but confidence
is low for specific timing and location. If thunderstorms do
develop...they may become strong to severe and produce locally
heavy rain.

A very warm and humid airmass is expected to remain in place
through the middle of next week with high temperatures in the
upper 80s to lower 90s and afternoon heat index values in the
middle to upper 90s.

Spotters may be needed this evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward though southeast at 20 to 30 mph.
