500 PM CDT...
At 414 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Powers Lake to near Harvard to Poplar Grove.
Movement was southeast at 35 mph.
Penny size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Waukegan, North Chicago, Gurnee, Mundelein, Algonquin, McHenry,
Vernon Hills, Woodstock, Zion, Grayslake, Libertyville, Lake Zurich,
Round Lake, Antioch, Beach Park, Wauconda, Fox Lake, Barrington,
Harvard and Lake Villa.
Including the following interstates...
I-90 between mile markers 38 and 47.
I-94 between mile markers 1 and 13.
I-294 between mile markers 1 and 13.
This includes... Chain O Lakes State Park, College of Lake County,
Lake County IL Fairgrounds, Mchenry County College, Mchenry County
Fairgrounds, Moraine Hills State Park, and Six Flags Great America.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
north central and northeastern Illinois.
