...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 AM CDT FOR
LAKE AND MCHENRY COUNTIES...
At 417 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms have ended
across the warned area. However, a total of 2 to 4 inches of rain
fell overnight, and runoff from this heavy rainfall will likely
continue to produce flash flooding into the early morning.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Buffalo Grove, Wheeling,
Northbrook, North Chicago, Gurnee, Mundelein, Algonquin, Highland
Park, McHenry, Vernon Hills, Woodstock, Zion, Grayslake,
Libertyville, Lake Zurich, Lake Forest and Round Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
