This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to dime size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Significant Flooding Risk.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
High Swim Risk
DISCUSSION...
Widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms are likely across
northern Illinois this morning, and then likely across the entire
outlook area this afternoon through late this evening. Heavy
rainfall will continue to support a threat for flash flooding,
along with renewed rises on area rivers into the upcoming week. A
Flash Flood Watch is in effect for locales along and west of I-57
through this evening.
A few strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon through
this evening, along and southeast of a line from from La Salle to
Oak Lawn. The main threat with the strongest storms will be wind
gusts to 60 mph, however, an isolated threat of tornadoes will
also exist.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Strong northwest winds will produce hazardous swimming conditions
along Indiana Lake Michigan beaches Monday. Thunderstorm chances
increase by mid week, with the highest chances for storms expected
Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Spotters may be needed this afternoon and evening.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the northeast at 35 to 40 mph.
