The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a
* Flood Warning for...
Northwestern McHenry County in northeastern Illinois...
Central Boone County in north central Illinois...
* Until 930 AM CDT.
* At 620 AM CDT, local law enforcement officials reported that
multiple roads remains closed due to high water in the Poplar
Grove and Capron area. Rainfall reports indicate 3 to locally 5
inches of rain fell during the night, leading to flooding in the
warned area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Belvidere, Harvard, Poplar Grove, Capron, Timberlane and Caledonia.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
