This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
High Swim Risk overnight
DISCUSSION...
Rain, at times heavy and possibly accompanied with lightning,
will expand across the area this afternoon and persist into early
this evening before tapering to scattered showers. With the rain
being heavy, there is potential for flash flooding along and north
and west of Interstate 55.
A few strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon through
this evening, mainly along and south of a line from from La Salle
to Chicago. The main threat with any strong storms will be wind
gusts to 60 mph and an isolated threat of tornadoes.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Area rivers, especially across far northern Illinois, will be
on the rise early this week.
Strong northwest winds will produce hazardous swimming conditions
along Indiana Lake Michigan beaches Monday. Thunderstorm chances
increase by mid week, with the highest chances for storms expected
Tuesday night into Wednesday.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters may be needed for a brief period mid afternoon through
early evening.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the northeast at 35 to 50 mph.
