This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter sized late tonight.
Limited Flooding Risk late tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to spread across northern
Illinois overnight. Heavy rain will be possible with any
thunderstorm, especially across north-central Illinois which may
lead to additional flooding.
Some storms tonight could be strong to marginally severe with a
threat for quarter sized hail and perhaps some gusty winds mainly
north of I-80.
Portions of the Des Plaines, Fox, Rock, Kishwaukee and Pecatonica
Rivers will remain above flood stage for at least the next
several days
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday through Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
The chance for thunderstorms will gradually diminish through mid-
morning Sunday.
Portions of the Des Plaines, Fox, Rock, Kishwaukee and Pecatonica
Rivers will remain above flood stage for at least the next several
days

Due to the expected limited nature and coverage of strong to
severe storms tonight, spotter activation is unlikely.
