...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois,
including the following areas, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In
northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake
IL, McHenry, and Will.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through late Sunday night

* Showers and some thunderstorms will continue to increase in
coverage tonight and continue at times through Sunday evening.
These storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, with
rates approaching 1.5 to 2 inches per hour at times. This
expected heavy rainfall falling in a short duration and over
locations that have experienced recent heavy rainfall may lead
to additional flash flooding. Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches,
with locally higher amounts, are likely by Sunday evening.

* This heavy rainfall will likely lead to additional river rises
into the upcoming week, especially across the Des Plaines,
Fox, Pecatonica, and Rock river basins.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
