This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
High Swim Risk
Many area rivers are experiencing flooding due to recent heavy
rain.

DISCUSSION...

Another period of showers and thunderstorms is likely this
afternoon, especially for areas along and south of I-80. A brief
period of heavy rainfall will again be possible with these showers
and storms. There is also a small chance that a few stronger
storms could develop and impact portions of central IL this
afternoon. Any stronger storms would have a risk of producing
hail and strong gusty winds.

Otherwise, breezy east winds today will generate high waves on
Lake Michigan causing strong rip currents and dangerous swim
conditions on northeastern Illinois beaches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the northeast at 25 to 30 mph.
