...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE SUNDAY
NIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois,
including the following areas, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In
northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake
IL, McHenry, and Will.

* Through late Sunday night

* Showers and some thunderstorms will increase in coverage late
tonight and into the day Sunday. These will produce heavy
rainfall at times, with rates of one to two inches per hour.
Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts are
expected by Sunday evening before the rain tapers from west to
east. These expected totals include some locations that
received 1 to 2 inches on Saturday. This expected heavy rainfall
over a short duration and over locations that have experienced
recent heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding.

* This heavy rainfall will lead to additional river rises,
potentially sharp rises, into the upcoming week, especially
across the Des Plaines, Fox, Pecatonica, and Rock river basins.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
