This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited strong and gusty wind threat...to 50 mph.
Elevated Overnight Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible today. Some of these
storms may contain locally heavy rainfall.

An additional round of showers and storms is then expected late
tonight. This activity will have the potential to produce heavy
rainfall and flash flooding. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for
locales along and west of I-57 tonight. Some thunderstorms will
also be capable of producing strong wind gusts to 50 mph tonight.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Sunday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Tuesday through Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected early
Sunday morning and through the afternoon and evening. Heavy
rainfall will continue to result in a threat for flash flooding,
along with renewed rises on area rivers into the upcoming week. A
Flash Flood Watch is in effect for locales along and west of I-57
through Sunday evening. Some stronger thunderstorms will be
possible Sunday afternoon and evening, mainly south of I-80 and
east of I-55 with a threat for strong wind gusts.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time but rainfall
reports are appreciated.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the northeast at 35 mph.
