This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk this morning.
High Swim Risk this morning.
DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms with pockets of heavy rain will
continue for the early portion of the morning commute. Significant
rain fell in some areas overnight and reports of road closures or
water over roadways has been reported across northern Illinois.
Urban and small stream flooding is possible in other locations.
Most of the rain should end across NE Illinois by 7 to 8 am, and
across northwest Indiana by mid morning.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Saturday night...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday night and Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not needed today, though reports of
flooding and road closures are appreciated. Do not drive into
flooded roads.
