...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FOR LOCALES NORTH OF I-88
SATURDAY...
.A potent storm system is expected to bring a risk for a
significant late-season snowfall to parts of the region on
Saturday afternoon and evening in an intense but narrow band.
Confidence on where this band will set up remains low, but the
potential exists for locations within the Winter Storm Watch to
experience a heavy wet snowfall with amounts of 4 to 8 inches.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Rain, transitioning to a heavy, wet snow early in the
afternoon on Saturday. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8
inches will be possible by Saturday evening. Winds could gust as
high as 35 mph resulting in reduced visibilities and hazardous
travel.
* WHERE...McHenry, Lake IL, Kane, DuPage and Cook Counties.
* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through late Saturday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult in heavy
snowfall with greatly reduced visibilities. In the heaviest
snowfall, rates could approach 1 to 2 inches per hour.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
