This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Fire Weather Risk.

DISCUSSION…

During this afternoon, southwest winds will becoming gusty across north central Illinois and portions of northeast Illinois near the Wisconsin border. With low relative humidity, these conditions will make for an elevated fire danger.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Thursday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk

Friday…

Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A strong weather system will move slowly across the middle part of the country during the mid to latter portions of the week. This will bring gusty winds, potentially near or in excess of 45 mph on Thursday. There is also a chance for thunderstorms Thursday and Thursday evening across the entire area. Some of these thunderstorms may be severe.
