This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Tuesday.

Friday...
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk, mainly near Lake Michigan.
Significant Snow Risk for portions of far northern Illinois.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday night...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Gusty northwest winds, possibly to 40 mph, and dry conditions will
likely result in an increased risk for the more rapid spread of
brush fires.

A significant storm system will quickly move across the region on
Saturday and Saturday night. Portions of far northern Illinois,
especially closer to the Wisconsin state line, could receive
several inches of heavy wet snow. In addition, if heavy snow does
occur, strong northerly winds could further reduce visibility and
cause minor tree damage and power outages. Finally, the strong
winds and large waves will elevate already high lake levels, which
could result in lakeshore flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
