This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk overnight.
Limited Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible overnight, mainly
for north of I-80. Patchy fog may push inland across parts of the
Chicago metro this evening into tonight behind a cold front.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk over portions of northwest and
north central Illinois in the afternoon and early evening and mainly
south of I-80 overnight.
Limited Fog Risk in the morning.
Thursday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk south of I-80 in the morning.
Limited Flooding Risk mainly east of I-57.
Sunday and Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk well south of I-80.

DISCUSSION:

A storm system will bring increasing shower and thunderstorm
chances to the region later Wednesday into Thursday. There
is a low potential that a few storms could become strong to
severe, with two timeframes of strong to severe risk. The first
time window is mid to late Wednesday afternoon into the early
evening, mainly for portions of northwest and north central
Illinois. The next time window is after midnight Wednesday night
into Thursday morning south of I-80. The main threats would be
from strong winds and hail. In addition, heavy downpours could
bring a risk for minor flooding on Thursday mainly east of I-57.
Another storm system may bring a risk for thunderstorms to
portions of the region on late Sunday into Sunday evening and on
Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east-northeast at 30 mph tonight.
