Including the cities of Rockford, Belvidere, Woodstock, Waukegan,
Oregon, Dixon, DeKalb, Aurora, Elgin, Wheaton, Chicago, Ottawa,
Oswego, Morris, Joliet, Kankakee, Pontiac, and Gary

...Reduced visibility, heavy wet snow, and even some slushy road
accumulations...

Heavy wet snow will continue this morning, especially along and
northwest of Interstate 55. Snow could fall heavily at times
resulting in reduced visibility to one quarter to one half mile.
Some isolated thundersnow has also been reported this morning.

Roads and sidewalks are relatively warm, but with snow rates of
one inch per hour, expect even some slushy accumulations up to one
half inch and slippery conditions on roadways, especially less
traveled ones. Be prepared for slippery conditions. Some areas
will see 2 to 4 inches of accumulation on grass and elevated
surfaces.
