This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk
DISCUSSION...
There is a slight chance of non-severe thunderstorms in north
central Illinois late tonight.
Strong easterly winds will gust to around 45 mph at times,
especially in north central Illinois.
Building waves along the northeast Illinois shore overnight will
likely result in minor immediate lakeshore flooding, mainly from
downtown Chicago and north.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk
Friday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Saturday Night and Sunday...
Limited Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Minor immediate lakeshore flooding, mainly north of Chicago, will
remain possible into Thursday morning.
A strong weather system will affect the region primarily
Thursday and Thursday night. Scattered Thunderstorms are likely
late Thursday afternoon and evening, especially during the evening
hours ahead of a cold front. Severe weather is possible from the
strongest thunderstorms, with damaging wind gusts the main hazard.
In addition, winds gusting to 40 to 45 mph apart from any storms are
possible Thursday, mainly south of Interstate 80, and on Friday areawide.
The next significant storm system could bring wet snow to parts
of the area on Sunday, with accumulation possible.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
