This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado Risk.
Elevated Hail Risk...up to golfball size.
Elevated Damaging Wind Risk...up to 65 mph.

DISCUSSION...

The potential for isolated severe storms through the mid to late
evening continues, primarily northwest of a line from Dixon to Crystal
Lake. If a few storms develop, hail and possibly a tornado would be
the primary threats.

Another area of thunderstorms, with a scattered strong to severe
threat, will move northeast into the region late this evening and
overnight, primarily south of Interstate 80. Potential for strong and
gusty winds and hail could accompany any severe storms that were to
develop.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Friday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk
Saturday...
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Sunday and Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The threat for showers and storms will continue on Thursday,
mainly in the morning and east of I-57. There is a low potential
for some of these storms to remain strong to marginally severe
with mainly a threat for gusty winds.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed through mid evening across mainly
northwest and north central Illinois, and possibly overnight south
of I-80.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the northeast at around 35-40 mph.
