This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today through Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Strong to severe thunderstorms across the plains will likely be in a weakening state as the arrive into northern Illinois late tonight. Some of the storms may produce small hail or gusty winds to 40 mph or so across north central Illinois, but generally feel that the severe threat is low.

Widely scattered thunderstorms are most likely after midnight when a cold front will pass through.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk for northwest Indiana.

Friday through Tuesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The cold front will continue across the area Thursday, with thunderstorms possible ahead of it in northwest Indiana. Strong storms are possible, but more likely the better storm chances lie just east of the area.

Periods of thunderstorms are possible, mainly Saturday night through early next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotters will most likely not be needed.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the southeast at 30 mph, then to the east at 40 mph tonight.
