This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk High Swim Risk
DISCUSSION…
Periods of showers and a few thunderstorms are expected across much of the area. Brief heavy downpours will be possible with some of the stronger storms.
North winds up to 25 mph will build waves up to 4 to 7 feet along the Illinois and Indiana shores of Lake Michigan. This will cause dangerous rip currents at area beaches as well as a chance for lakeshore flooding and water or spray reaching roads and bike paths near Lake Michigan.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

DISCUSSION:
Dangerous rip currents are likely to continue into Sunday afternoon. Waves up to 4 to 7 feet are expected to continue through Sunday afternoon at the northeastern Illinois and northwestern Indiana beaches.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
